.Adult Skills and Drills is a hockey practice to learn and develop skills in a fun environment without the extra complication of a game.
Various drills are explained and run to showcase different skills, depending on what the players want to work on further.
Small-area games are also used to add a fun component.
Reed Claiborne and Jack Gaddy are the coaches, and when both are there, which is most of the time, they often split the players into groups according to skill level. Even when they don't split the group, they will adapt the drills to challenge those that are more skilled while enabling the new players to learn and work on the skill.
Adult Skills and Drills is every Sunday (with a few exceptions) from 6:15 to 7:15pm and costs $15 per practice. No signing up in advance is needed, just drop on in!
At the same time, on one end of the ice, there is a Goalie Skills and Drills for goalies to develop as well. Cost is the same, $15.
Although Rusty Blades is adults-only, the Skatium is also home to the Little Rock Aces Youth League.
The Aces consist of youth of all ages from 4 to 18 and are a part of the Arkansas Hockey Association, which is affiliated with USA Hockey.
Kids are divided into age groups of 8 & under, 10 & under, 12 & under, 14 & under and 18 & under.

D League is played on Wednesday evenings.
Times vary depending on the season.
This league is a higher level than the Beginner League, but players are still developing skills and skating ability.
Players should be able to skate at a reasonable speed, make and receive passes, be able to maintain control of a puck, and understand the basic rules of the game.
Generally players have starting playing as an adult or played hockey as a youth, but likely not through high school.
This is a great League in which to develop skating speed, refine skills, and learn more of the strategy of the game.
This would be comparable to a Lower Level or D/I Level in other cities.
Skatium League is the highest level of hockey at the Skatium and has games on Monday and Tuesday nights.
Times vary depending on the night and time of year.
This League is considered an A/B/C League, and would be comparable to a B/C League in other cities.
Most players have played throughout their lives and are athletic. A few have played at collegiate or minor league levels. Most, if not all, have a good understanding of game concepts, rules, and strategies.
